About Alexis
Growing up on a farm in Prince Edward County, Alexis' love for nature and all of its beauty began from a very young age. Her interest in floral design was first sparked when she worked at a local restaurant and was asked to create centrepieces for tables using blooms from their english garden. This experience ultimately led Alexis down the path of floristry. She worked for several seasons in a greenhouse, and from there she sought further development and training in the art of floral design. Alexis now has over 15 years of experience in the industry. She has worked and managed in flower shops in the area, as well as internationally in Australia. After her travels in Europe and around the globe, Alexis returned home to PEC where she has her own family flower farm where she grows custom flower crops that she uses in her floral designs.

Focusing on flowers grown on her property in Prince Edward County, Alexis Joy Florals is a personal full service florist. With over 15 years of experience, Alexis is able to design & create unique floral styling from large weddings and events to her weekly flower stand all including blooms hand selected and grown from seed from her personal cutting garden.
Philosophy
We are inspired by the unique beauty that seasonal blooms & foliage provide. We love to source local flowers & elements that are rooted in a specific time & place. lovely whimsical blooms, garden roses, trailing vines, wispy grasses & delicate foliage are all our favourite ingredients.
We grow a cutting garden full of our specialty custom grown blooms as well as those too delicate to ship or not available elsewhere. These flowers are grown exclusively for our clients so that we are able to design something beautiful & unique. We also source local blooms cultivated in our area with care and skill. Because of this, our clients receive the freshest, most beautiful flowers available.
